2. History
The Consulate of Indonesia in Vancouver was officially established in 20
November 1982. Before the opening of the Consular office, Indonesian interests
in British Columbia were represented by Honorary Consuls: Mr. Leslie Thomas
(1962-1973), Mr. Robert W. Lindsay (1973-1978) and Mr. Sidik Martohardjono
(1978-1982). In 1993, the Consulate was upgraded to the Consulate General,
and were headed by the following Consuls/Consul Generals :

Jacky D. Wahyu S.H. (1995 - 1998)

On 26 August 1998, the Consulate General moved to current address and occupied
its own premise. The new building was officially opened by Consul General
Jacky Wahyu.
